SC2C.Aero: Visibility for Aerospace R&D&I in Santa Catarina

Victor J. De Negri is professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Head of Laboratory of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems – LASHIP at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. From 2012 to 2014 he was the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and from 2018 to 2024 he was the coordinator of SC2C.Aero – Santa Catarina's Center of Converge for Aerospace Technologies.

He is a member of ASME, GFPS and ABCM and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Fluid Power. His research areas include the analysis and design of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components and design methodology for automation and control systems. He has coordinated several projects with industry and governmental agencies in the areas of hydroelectric and wind power, vehicles and aeronautics, and industrial hydraulics and pneumatics.

He already supervised more than 70 Master's and Doctoral students and 120 undergraduate students. As a result of these activities, he has 6 patents and over than 200 journal and conference papers.
